Are you a fighter?
December 9, 2007 | Leave a Comment
Are you a fighter?! Are you willing to do what it takes to realize your goals and dreams. Not anyone elses, but yours. What you truly want for your life. Or will you settle and just let life happen to you?
Really, if Y-O-U don’t “fight” for your freedom in all areas of your life, you’ll never enjoy time freedom or financial freedom.
Fighting for what we’re passionate about is on my mind this afternoon because last night there was a major fight between the USA’s undefeated Floyd Mayweather and the undefeated Ricky Hatton from the UK.
While I’m not the biggest fight fan out there, I do follow the sport with certain fighters. Here we clearly have 2 champions who train relentlessly to be the best. But it’s not just about the physical training. It’s the mental training as well.
The discipline. The training. The FOCUS. It all comes into play. That’s why I like to study champions whether in the field of business or sports. One of my favorite Michael Jordan quotes is…
”I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
Any self-made success story will tell you something similar. They’ve failed and failed and failed but they succeed because no matter how many times they’ve been knocked down, they don’t STAY down. They get up and keep on moving forward.
So fight for the life you really want to live. It’s worth it and you’re worth it.
What will be your focus going into 2008? Repeating the past, just getting by and staying at a “comfortable” level or will you step up your GAME and create something new in your life?
Time will tell …
By the way, I’m talking to me too :-}. Always growing and planting the seeds now to make 2008 even better than ‘07.
All the best,
Charise Carter
